Wow, wow, and wow! Where do we begin to even put into words how incredible you guys were for our wedding? It truly was the day of our dreams, and we are SO pleased we found you and chose Southend Barns to host our wedding day.
From the moment we stepped in to view the venue, we fell in love. It had such a calming feel. Everything was clean and high-quality and stayed consistent throughout every visit. We enjoyed the love-at-first-sight open evening and the tasting evening, which felt like we were at a wedding. We loved visiting for the wedding fair, where we found some of our suppliers and our planning meeting with the truffles!
Kelly – Our on the day, angel! Nothing was too much trouble, and you ensured the day ran seamlessly without us needing to do a thing; after months of preparation and crafting, this was so appreciated as it meant we could sit back and enjoy the day to its fullest! We both instantly felt in safe hands when we met and nothing was too much trouble – even some of our more quirky ideas and TikToks! You are so good at what you do, and we are so grateful for everything you did for us.
Sophie, Thank you so much for looking after us from the love at first sight evening, booking our wedding, nailing down all the details, and up until our day—you made us feel instantly welcome and at ease. From start to finish, you have been so lovely, and we are so grateful for all your help in the run-up to our wedding!
Olivia, Thank you for getting me down the aisle and making sure everything ran smoothly for the ceremony. You were so calming and lovely!
All of the team on the day, from the bar staff, waiting staff, Roots chefs, gardeners and cleaners, made sure our guests and us were well fed and watered, and every single guest commented on how incredible the food was, how beautiful the barns and grounds were! The Roots team are total artists when it comes to food. Every single bite was delightful, from the delicious canapes (that our lovely lady – with the lovely eyeliner flicks made sure we got to enjoy – we didn’t catch her name, but a special mention to her for being so sweet), to the incredible homemade focaccia and butter, delicious 3-course dinner (the sticky toffee pudding was STUNNING!) and our fantastic smores station and evening bacon baps and chips. If you opened up a Roots restaurant, we’d be first in the queue to visit!
The day ran perfectly. Everything was perfect, and we didn’t need to worry about anything. I genuinely felt so relaxed and enjoyed every moment. You guys are very good at what you do, and we will recommend you to everyone and anyone (especially because we want to come back to weddings at Southend Barns as much as possible!).
We are so grateful to you all, Kelly, Sophie, Olivia, and the whole team at Southend Barns, for making our dreams come true and helping us have the day of our lives – not only for us but also for all our friends and family. It was so special in every way, and the amount of detail that goes into the behind the scenes of the venue is second to none; everyone who is part of this venue should be so proud to play such a part in such a milestone moment in couples lives, we are so thankful to you all, and we’ll never forget our dream wedding day!
